Caleb Rothe

Caleb was one of the founders of Pulse Percussion in 2005. He served as the front ensemble arranger and ensemble director from 2005 to 2007.

Caleb currently serves as the Percussion Education Coordinator for WGI Sport of the Arts and as the President of SCPA. He has previously served as a program director, arranger, and instructor for Ayala HS (1997-2009) and Rancho Cucamonga HS (2000-2004). He also served as a front ensemble arranger and instructor for Upland HS (2004-2006), Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps (2010), and Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps (2004-2006).

He has been a percussion educator in Southern California since 1997 and has worked with more than twenty different high schools, independent percussion ensembles, and drum and bugle corps. He is an internationally sought-after adjudicator and clinician and has written for numerous groups across the United States and Japan.

Mr. Rothe received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in the spring of 2003 and his teaching credential from the University of Redlands in the winter of 2007. He currently teaches algebra and percussion at Cope Middle School in Redlands, California.

 
Chris Cowling

Ken McGrath

Ken was one of the founders of Pulse Percussion in 2005. He served as the battery designer from 2005 to 2007. He also helped start POW percussion be helping out year one in 2011.

Ken has been teaching and writing for over 20 years and is currently the caption head and battery arranger for two time WGI medalist Rancho Cucamonga High School and Upland HS. He was the caption head for Impulse drum and bugle corps in 2005 as well as 2006 where they won the DCI division 3 championship and won high percussion.

Ken has served on the WGI Percussion Advisory Board is a current board member for the Southern California Percussion Alliance.
